We are looking for modelers interested in a collaborative technical environment, working on global projects led by internationally recognized experts.
Water Services and Technologies (WST) is a well-established firm in water resources and applied hydrogeology, known for integrating deep technical knowledge, engineering insight, and digital solutions to support decision-making in complex projects.
Our hydrogeological numerical modeling division serves as a strategic hub for projects involving:
• aquifer management in mining environments;
• assessment of hydrogeological impacts;
• support for mining, geotechnical, and environmental engineering;
• reduction of technical uncertainties through robust simulations.
In recent years, the WST team has presented technical papers at international conferences, including the FEFLOW Conference — reflecting our ongoing contribution to best practices in the field.
DHI and Water Services and Technologies Team's at Hamburg-Germany FEFLOW Conference
At WST, numerical modeling evolves in response to the complexity of our projects.
Professionals in our Talent Pool will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge initiatives, including:
Integrated hydrogeological–geochemical modeling through a coupling between FEFLOW and PHREEQC, aimed at assessing reactive processes, water quality, and robust predictions in porous and fractured media;
Use of tools and modules integrated with FEFLOW to enhance scenario analysis, calibration, and advanced interpretation
Integration of hydrogeology and geotechnical engineering to support decisions in complex mining environments
Systematic application of uncertainty analysis, including sensitivity analysis, advanced calibration, and technical risk assessment
You will contribute to projects developed through a recent strategic partnership, grounded in quantitative methods and international best practices for uncertainty analysis and decision-making.
These are meaningful opportunities for those who want to go beyond conventional modeling — working at the intersection of data, concepts, and engineering judgment.
Water Services and Technologies’ history in hydrogeological modeling is closely tied to Nilson Guiguer, the company's co-founder and a globally recognized expert in groundwater flow.
Over decades of technical, scientific, and practical contributions, Nilson has played a central role in shaping WST's expertise — participating in strategic discussions, conceptual reviews, and technical exchanges with the teams.
As Chairman of the Board, Nilson remains closely involved — bringing his expertise to sharpen the team's technical quality, critical thinking, and methodological rigor.
"Modeling is a powerful tool when it is well-grounded in concepts and data. My role at WST is to share my experience, encourage thoughtful questions, and support the team's technical growth."
